How to Check Your NBAIS Result Online

You need an NBAIS scratch card. Use it on resultchecker.nbais.com.ng, the result checker run by the National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies.

What you need before you start

Steps

  1. Buy an NBAIS scratch card. It arrives on screen and by email as soon as your payment clears.
  2. Open resultchecker.nbais.com.ng.
  3. Select the exam and the year you sat it.
  4. Enter your registration number exactly as printed on your slip.
  5. Enter the PIN from your Awajis Pay order.
  6. Submit the form to view your result.
  7. Print the result page. You have four more checks left on this card if you need them.

One card, one candidate, five checks

A single NBAIS scratch card checks one candidate's result up to five times. It will not work for a second candidate's registration number — buy a separate card for each candidate.

Not the same as an Islamic Studies grade on a WAEC or NECO slip

NBAIS is the National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies, based in Kaduna. It runs its own SAISSCE, Tahfeez and Science exams for its affiliated schools, separate from WAEC and NECO. If your WAEC or NECO result carries a grade in Islamic Studies, that grade came from WAEC or NECO — it is not an NBAIS result, and an NBAIS card will not open it. You need the right board's own PIN for the exam you actually sat.

If it does not work

Wrong exam year is the most common reason a correct result does not appear. For every other error message, see our PIN troubleshooting guide.

Awajis Pay is an independent reseller. We are not NBAIS, and we cannot change, upgrade or release a result — NBAIS controls when results are published.

Questions people ask

How many times can I check with one NBAIS scratch card?
Five times, for one candidate, on resultchecker.nbais.com.ng. Each attempt uses up one check.
Does the card work for SAISSCE, Tahfeez and Science results?
Yes — the same card type works across NBAIS curricula. Select the correct exam and year on the portal so it matches your registration.
I sat WAEC or NECO and got an Islamic Studies grade. Is that my NBAIS result?
No. An Islamic Studies subject grade on a WAEC or NECO slip belongs to that board, not to NBAIS. NBAIS runs its own SAISSCE, Tahfeez and Science exams and issues its own result, checked with its own card.
What if resultchecker.nbais.com.ng says my PIN is invalid?
Retype the PIN carefully — a mistyped character is the most common cause. If it still fails, message us on WhatsApp with your order reference.
Is Awajis Pay the official NBAIS checking site?
No. We sell the scratch card. You check your result on resultchecker.nbais.com.ng, which NBAIS runs.
