How to Verify a NECO Result
Verification confirms a NECO result is genuine. It runs on NERVS, NECO's Electronic Result Verification System, and needs an e-verification PIN — not the ordinary result token.
Make sure this is what you need
Checking your own result for the first time? Buy a NECO result token for ₦2,490 and follow how to check your NECO result. The verification PIN costs ₦6,200 and does a different job. If you are not sure which you need, read checking vs verifying a result first.
What you need before you start
- The candidate's registration number.
- The exam type — SSCE internal, GCE external or BECE — and the year.
- An e-verification PIN — buy one here for ₦6,200.
Steps
- Confirm the institution is not verifying it themselves. If they are, you need nothing.
- Buy the e-verification PIN. It arrives on screen and by email as soon as your payment clears.
- Open everify.neco.gov.ng.
- Start a verification and select the exam type and year.
- Enter the candidate's registration number.
- Enter the e-verification PIN and submit.
- Save or print the verification report and send it to whoever asked for it.
What verification cannot do
It reports what NECO already holds. It cannot change a grade, upgrade a result or release a withheld one. Treat any offer to do that as a scam.
Awajis Pay is an independent reseller. We are not NECO and we do not run NERVS — we sell the PIN it asks for.
